Milk and Honey
when you have a cough warming a glass of milk, and adding about 1 tablespoon of honey will help chase it away! I do this often for my children because it dose the same thing as the pharmacy cough medicine, only these items can come from your own pantry!
Ginger tea and Honey
If you have a cold making some ginger tea and sweetening with honey will help you! In a medium sauce pan boil some water. Mean while peal the skin off your ginger root and cut 3 1/2 inch pieces about the size of a 50 cent piece. when the water is boiling, add the ginger root to the pan. boil it until the water turns to a yellowish color. DO NOT LET IT BOIL TO MUCH LONGER, or the tea will be too strong for anyone to be able to keep it down. poor your cup and top off with 1, 2 or 3 teaspoons of honey! I make this for my husband when he gets sick, we have a joke that when I ask him how much honey he says the whole bottle! (he isn't a tea man.) I don't think you will a whole lot just enough that you start to taste the honey.

I hope that these natural home remedies can help you feel better soon! I will possibly put more up to help with other things. Such as, asthma, sore muscles, and headaches!!
Halloween 2012
This year for Halloween we all went trick-or-treating at our church. KIE got lots of candy for mom and dad to eat (lol just kidding!) Xander was a zebra, as seen on the left! he is officially the cutest zebra ever! KIE supported a duck costume with orange foot socks. There is no picture of mom, but she supported a beutifulily made pioneer
costume. And dad was a cowboy, raining in a duck and a zebra all night. :) We took turns taking the boys around the church door-to-door to trick-or-treat.
all in all halloween was an awsome experince this year! thanks to all those who helped with costuming mom and Xander! (AKA Susan Parsons!)
hope you all had a wonderful holiday too! God Bless!
